Eden-As part of their efforts in maintaining peace and security, and cleansing the country from the terrorist groups, units from Eden Police, and the legitimacy forces are constantly implementing raids to arrest terrorists and sleeper cells.

The security units have raided a number of terrorists’ houses in different neighborhoods in the Mansoura city in Eden, and arrested five members including a leader from Ansar al-Sharia’a, a local affiliate of al-Qaeda.

The southern provinces, particularly Eden, Lahij, Hadramout are witnessing stable security, after a number of ISIS-claimed terrorist operations took place a couple of weeks ago and left thousands of victims.

Commander Nabil al-Mashoushi from Eden security told Asharq Al-Awsat that the military operations against the terrorist groups are ongoing to trace militants and the sleeper cells, and cleanse the city from the threats of ISIS, which tries to take advantage of security gaps to retaliate and show Eden as an instable city. The commander added that Eden is witnessing stability despite suffering from many service-related problems.

Lahij, near Eden, also witnesses stable security. The activity has resumed in its governmental facilities despite the massive devastation caused by the oppressive war launched by the Houthi militias and the forces of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh in March 2014.

Brigadier General Adel Helmi, the director of Lahij Police, told Asharq Al-Awsat that months after clearing the city from Saleh’s and Houthi militants, the governorate enjoys stability and that the security forces maintain their efforts in pursuing the terrorists and toppling plots.

In Hadramout, Brigadier Suleiman bin Ghanem said that the cities situated on the governorate’s coast live in stability and security, and that the commercial, navigation, and economic activities are prospering following the liberation of Mukalla and Hadramout from Ansar al-Sharia’a militants.
