Aden-A UAE ship carrying 14,000 tons of oil products docked in Aden, Yemen. The ship arrived after days of blackout in Aden.

Yemen Oil and Gas Corporation and Aden Refinery Company in Aden issued a joint statement announcing the arrival of Emirati “C. John” ship to Gates Harbor carrying 14,000 metric tons of diesel to generate electricity in Aden.

The statement confirmed that the ship will start unloading its cargo to the company within the upcoming hours and will start pumping diesel to the electricity firms as soon as all procedures are completed.

The statement went on to say that both Yemen Oil and Gas Corporation and Aden Refinery Company appreciate the efforts of local authorities in Aden and Aden governor Lieutenant Aideeros Kasem al-Zubaidi to help end the sufferings of the civilians. Both companies thanked the government and people of UAE.

Lieutenant al-Zubaidi congratulated the people of Aden over the arrival of “C. John” ship that will prevent Aden from shutting down. In a statement which Asharq Al-Awsat received a copy of, al-Zubaidi saluted the patience of people of Aden despite the continuous blackouts during the hot weather.

Lieutenant al-Zubaidi, in the name of people and authorities of Aden, thanked the government and people of UAE. He addressed president of UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed thanking them for sharing the people of Aden their suffering due to electricity blackout intended to harm the people and local authority. Al-Zubaidi also thanked the national institutions and personnel who helped alleviate the crisis in Aden, especially those in Yemen Oil and Gas Corporation and Aden Refinery Company who worked with leadership of Ma’erib.

Meanwhile, after a year of suspension, Civil Registration Authority in Aden resumed its work in issuing ID and renewing travel documents in the presence of deputy interior minister Brig. Gen. Ali Nasser Lakhshaa, Aden Security Director, Civil Registration Authority Deputy Lt. Mohammed Mosa’ed al-Amir, and a number of security officials.

Deputy interior minister Brig. Gen. Ali Nasser Lakhshaa said that resumption of work at the Civil Registration Authority is due to relentless efforts to normalize the situation in all facilities and security forces.

While director of Aden Police Lt. Shallal Ali Sha’e Hadi stressed that all security procedures aim to maintain the safety of the facilities.

Director of Unified Automatic Issuance Center for Police Services Colonel Jamil Dayyan confirmed to Asharq Al-Awsat that issuance of IDs and travel documents has been resumed in the center. He explained the mechanism at the Automatic Issuance Center. Col Dayyan said that work will be resumed in the Unified Center as soon as it is reconstructed.
