Life is gradually returning to normal in the town of Al-Mansoura in the capital Aden, where shops are opening their doors and markets are experiencing normal economic activity. This comes days after security forces and the Southern Resistance seized the city after a crackdown on armed groups.

Asharq Al-Awsat correspondents walked around the city and witnessed the return of daily life to the major districts of Aden, where markets selling vegetables, fruit, meat and fish are becoming busy with customers due to the calm that currently prevails in the city, three months after coalition forces launched a security crackdown in which aircraft were involved to cleanse the city. Control of the city was regained in less than 72 hours.

Security forces, in conjunction with the Southern Resistance and with the support of coalition aircraft launched the second phase of the security plan targeting the city of Al-Mansoura a few days ago and cleansed it from external extremist groups that are accused of committing a wave of assassinations and terrorist acts.
