Saudi Campaign Distributes 1250 Food Parcels to Syrian Refugees in Lebanon | ASHARQ AL-AWSAT English Archive 2005 -2017

Amman- The Saudi National Campaign(SNC) announced its support to fellow Syrian brothers and that it had its Lebanon office distribute over 1250 food parcels to Syrian refugees residing in Lebanese cities of Baalbek and Al-Ayroniah.

The distribution of sustenance in the two cities is only a part of a large humanitarian aid program inspired from the spirit of the current holy month of Ramadan.

The SNC office in Lebanon works to monitor and carryout the distribution of food parcels to Syrian refugees in Lebanon according to a predetermined mechanism of action–the project has benefited 1003 Syrian families comprising 6024 people so far, SPA reported.

The Director of the Office of the campaign in Lebanon, Walid Al-Jalal, pointed out that the food parcels have been provided for Syrian refugees living in the two abovementioned cities, noting that the distributions will reach several other cities where Syrian refugees are found.

For his part, the regional director of the Saudi National Campaign to support brothers in Syria, Dr. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al-Samhan, gave emphasis to the campaign taking great care of Syrian refugees as they are in a dire humanitarian situation requiring incessant support.

He also added that the distribution of food parcels in Turkey, Lebanon and inside Syria during are the next stage targets of the greater plan on distributing 300,000 meals and 30,000 food parcels offered during this holy month of Ramadan.
