Taif University, based in Saudi Arabia, officially announced on Saturday its effort invested in developing an Islamic culture program.

The new program focuses on university students in all medical, scientific and humanitarian disciplines and employs modern methods of teaching, reported Saudi Press Agency SPA.

It also deals with the Prophet’s biography and Islamic ethics in professional practices, so that all study plans include at least four compulsory courses in Islamic sciences, between previously approved courses and new courses.

Taif University was established in year 2003 and incorporates a globally distinguished and integrated educational and research environment.

The university has developed the Islamic culture program as a part of its aim to expand the range of offerings provided by the establishment, Taif University Director Dr. Hussam bin Abdul Wahab Zaman said.

Taif university had made commitments on a transformation program which the university is currently working on with its various faculties and departments

The Islamic culture curriculum includes 33 programs covering 97 academic levels in all faculties of the university and is in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

More so, the university’s mission is anchored to developing, supporting and conveying knowledge through effective educational and research administration according to the international standards to ensure reinforcing sustainable development effort, said the university’s official website.
