Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz chaired a national cabinet session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday.

At the outset of the session, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif stressed that the successful talks held by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and leaders of each of Malaysia and Indonesia embody the constructive spirit, appreciation, respect and the depth of relations between the Kingdom and these countries, reported the Saudi Press Agency SPA.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef noted that what has been accorded to the King and his accompanying delegation of hospitality and warm welcome during the visits, added to the fruitful talks and signing of several memorandums of understanding comes in line with the Kingdom and the countries’ keenness to enhance relations across various fields.

Environment Minister Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen All-Fadhli said that the Cabinet considered that King Salman being awarded the First Royal State Medal The Medal of the Crown in Malaysia; Medal of Star of Republic of Indonesia; and Medal of Royal Family of Brunei Throne, medals of highest honor to their respective countries, added to the honorary doctorate in literature from University of Malaya, the honorary doctorate in political science all reflect the influential role played concerning the service of Islam.

Cabinet members valued the talks held so far during the monarch’s tour that contributed to strengthening the bilateral relations in various fields and promoting mutual understanding for the benefit of the Kingdom and brotherly countries, serving international peace and security.

The cabinet then reviewed a number of reports on developments linked to various areas, citing the work of the 34th session of the UN Human Rights Council, ongoing in Geneva, stressing the contents of the Kingdom’s speech before the Council which included the Kingdom’s determination to proceed with its efforts to promote and protect human rights at all levels.

In the Kingdom’s statement, the cooperation extended by Saudi Arabia and United Nations bodies on promoting and protecting human rights was highlighted along with an emphasize on the importance of the international community’s response to social threats of delinquency, disintegration, extremism, hatred and racism.
