The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense have sent cables of condolences and sympathy to Afghan President Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai following the terrorist explosion that targeted Kabul’s diplomatic quarter.

In his cable, King Salman said: “We have received with profound pain and sadness the news of a terrorist explosion that took place in the diplomatic quarter in Kabul, killing and injuring dozens.”

“Condemning this criminal act, we share Your Excellency, and the Afghan people the pains of this calamity, expressing profound condolence and sincere sympathy on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in our own name to Your Excellency, the families of the victims and the people of Afghanistan, appealing to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the victims and wishing the injured a quick recovery and evade the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its friendly people any harm or evil,” he added.
