Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry confirmed on Tuesday that authorities carried out capital punishment against four convicts responsible for numerous terror attacks in Qatif in the eastern part of the kingdom.

A statement released by the ministry named the convicts as Amjad Naji al-Moebid, Zaher Abdulrahim al-Basri, Yousif Ali Almushaikhis and Mahdi Mohammed Hassan Sayegh.

Al-Basri and the other three convicts were found guilty of plotting and staging several terror attacks that date back as far as 2011.

The four are also guilty of opening fire against their guardians, using weapons and explosive devices that targeted the Tarut police station and several security patrol units in the restive Eastern Province area.
