Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir received visiting Venezuelan Foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez and the accompanying delegation on Wednesday.

During the meeting, bilateral ties shared between the two countries and regional issues were discussed, the Saudi state news agency reported.

The Venezuelan minister conveyed an invitation sent out to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz from the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

Maduro’s invitation appealed to King Salman’s attendance at the summit conference of the heads of state and governments of the Non-alignment movement. The event will be held in Venezuela throughout 13 -18 September, 2016.

The ministers’ meeting was attended by Azzam bin Abdulkareem Al-Gain, undersecretary of the foreign ministry for protocol affairs.
