Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian aid announced leading new efforts addressing the health needs for victims of the Khan Sheikhoun chemical attack, said the Saudi state news agency SPA.

The project is organized in partnership with relief group Physicians Across Continents (PAC) in Turkey, added SPA.

King Salman Center’s official Spokesman, Dr. Samer Al-Jatili said that the project which will last five months, comes within the various services being offered by the center to Syrians in need.

A Syrian regime warplane had bombed the Syrian town of Khan Sheikhoun last week, when a chemical attack killed scores of people this week and prompted United States missile strikes.

Samples taken from the alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria last week tested positive for the nerve agent sarin, the British delegation at the world’s chemical weapons watchdog said.

“UK scientists have analyzed samples taken from Khan Sheikhoun. These have tested positive for the nerve agent sarin, or a sarin-like substance,” the delegation said during a special session at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague.

Earlier testing by Turkish authorities had also said the chemical used on April 4 was sarin.
In turn, the US fired dozens of cruise missiles at an airfield from which it said the Khan Sheikhoun chemical attack was launched that killed at least 70 people.
