Riyadh- Saudi Arabia and Burkina Faso concluded a cooperation agreement on crime-fighting that was signed in the presence of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, deputy premier and interior minister, signed the agreement from the Saudi Part and Minister for Territorial Administration and Decentralization and Homeland Security Simon Compaoré signed it from the Burkinian part.

Earlier on Tuesday, King Salman held talks with Burkina Faso President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré at Al-Yamamah Palace that tackled improving bilateral relations in various fields; in addition to discussing the latest developments on the local and regional arenas.

The meeting was attended by officials from both countries. Saudi officials included Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib, minister of state, Cabinet member and advisor to the king; Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, minister of the national guard; Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, crown prince, deputy premier, minister of Interior; Khalid al-Issa, minister of state, Cabinet member and president to the royal court; Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, minister of state, Cabinet member; Adel Al-Turaifi, minister of culture and information, Adel Al-Jubeir, foreign minister; and Zahir Al-Enzi, the Saudi ambassador to Burkina Faso.

Whereas Burkina Faso officials included Minister for Territorial Administration and Decentralization and Homeland Security Simon Compaoré, Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Burkinabe Living Abroad Alpha Barry, Burkinian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mansa Ountana.

President of Burkina Faso was received at al Al-Yamamah Palace by King Salman along with Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar. HRH King Salman also held a lunch in honor of Kaboré and his accompanying delegation.

The reception ceremony included the playing of the anthems of the two countries.

The reception also included Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz; Minister of State, Cabinet member and Advisor to the King Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib; Minister of the National Guard Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah; President & Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz; Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mansour bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz; in addition to other ministers and leaders of military sectors.
