Saudi Minister of Defense and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met on Thursday with Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko.

Japan is the third stop in the Deputy Prince’s Asian tour. During the meeting, they partnership between the two countries in the fields of investment, trade and industry were reviewed.

As the G20 summit nears, Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al Toraifi said that the Kingdom at the G20 summit aims at contributing significantly in the recovery of the global economy.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman will be leading the Saudi delegation at the global economy-centered event.The G20 is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors from 20 major economies.

Al Toraifi pointed out that the Belt and Road Initiative is considered one of the main pillars of the Kingdom Vision 2030 given that China is the biggest economic partner for the Kingdom on a global level.

He added that Saudi Arabia seeks to transfer Chinese technology and experience with respect to the field of infrastructure to the Kingdom.

Concerning art and culture, Al Toraifi stated that the ministry of culture and information provided nine initiatives, three of which were chosen. Along the approved proposals is the establishment of each of the Saudi Royal Society of Arts, Saudi Academy of Arts and the Saudi Media City.

Adel Al Toraifi stressed that the agreements and initiatives between the Saudi and Chinese channels and newspapers enhance three things, including convergence of the Saudi and Chinese people, increasing rates of exchanged tourism between the Kingdom and China.

Enhancing the understanding of both cultures and languages interchangeably among the two nations’ people will also be achieved.
