Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz’s visit made headlines across Chinese newspapers.

Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammed bin Salman, had arrived to Beijing, on Monday. This makes it his second stop in an Asian tour visiting each of Pakistan, China and Japan.

Chinese newspapers also highlighted the existing strategic partnerships between the two countries.

Papers wrote on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China sharing identical views on regional and international issues. They also shed light to the Saudi-Chinese Business Forum on the sidelines of the Deputy Crown Prince’s visit to China.

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, met at his guest residence on Tuesday with officials of Chinese banks, including Bank of China, Bank of China for Telecommunications and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

During the meeting, ways of enhancing partnership and available investment opportunities in the Kingdom were discussed, the Saudi state news agency reported.

Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was received earlier Monday at the airport in Beijing by Chinese Foreign Minister’s Undersecretary Wang Shu, the Chinese ambassador to Saudi Arabia, a number of officials of the Chinese government, and members of the Saudi Embassy in Beijing.

The official visit comes upon the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and in response to the invitation of the Chinese government, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.
