Eleven people were killed on Wednesday in a fire that broke out in a residential building in the Najran region in Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Official spokesman for the General Directorate of Civil Defense Abdullah bin Saeed al-Fareh said that the agency received information about the blaze at 4:00 am on Wednesday.

The blaze broke out at a three-storey house that does not have windows.

Consequently, 11 people were killed in the incident. Six others, mainly Indians and Bengalis, were wounded.

Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the fire.
