The Arab Parliament kicked off the meetings of the 6th and final session of its 2nd legislative term on Wednesday under the chairmanship of its Speaker, Dr. Mashaal bin Fahm Al-Salami at the headquarters of the Arab League.

The meetings are set to discuss a number of issues of joint Arab action, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue and its developments, said the Saudi state-owned news agency (SPA).

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Dr. Mashaal Al-Salami expressed concern about the continuation of the crisis between Qatar and a number of Arab countries, stressing the importance of resolving this crisis within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

He called on Iran to end the occupation of the three UAE islands in the Arabian Gulf, to desist from acts and hostile statements towards Bahrain and Yemen and to end its military intervention in Syria, declaring its full support for the Arab countries’ efforts to maintain their security, stability and territorial integrity.
