Riyadh- Sources attending the Yemeni talks, which are held in Kuwait, gave Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper the international outline for a solution in Yemen.

The roadmap to peace is inspired from previously set items mentioned in U.N. Resolution 2216, which specifically stipulates the insurgency forces moving out from zones, cities and government institutions they have taken control over.

Turning in weaponry and releasing detainees are also mentioned in the make-up of the outline.

The timeline published by Asharq Al-Awsat for the Yemeni roadmap highlights the withdrawal of insurgents from areas “A”, “B” and “C” and the spread of peacekeeping forces across.

Militant artillery must be handed in to authority before putting up the constitution for discussion. The final steps on the roadmap are holding elections, the passing on of power, and the restructuring of security agencies.

Peace talks in Kuwait had resumed, on Wednesday, after relentless efforts by Gulf countries and the international community. However the insurgency delegation, comprising Houthis and pro-Saleh supporters, (followers of ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh), had their stances wavering again.

The insurgency delegation refused to form a committee for the topic of the captives, given that the arrangement for a specialized committee was proposed by the U.N.

The talks appealed after Gulf and international mediation successfully convincing the governmental delegation to return to the sessions.

The government delegation had suspended participation after the insurgency violating ceasefire and zeroing in on the titan brigade, situated in the Harf Sufyan District of the Amran governorate.
