Reports state the Houthi Group has called for a tribal gathering in Sana’a to discuss the current political crisis after Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stated that Yemeni President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s resignation was wrong and was an attempt to blackmail his group. President Hadi and the cabinet resigned from office on 22 January in protest to the al Houthi takeover of the capital Sana’a, leaving a large vacuum in the executive branch of the government. EPA/STR
