Tunis- Tunisia and Saudi Arabia have agreed to create a company to implement projects in health and services.

The agreement was reached at the Tunisian-Saudi Economic Forum held in Tunis on Thursday.

Saudi Trade and Investment Minister Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said at the opening of the forum that Tunisian-Saudi cooperation would open wide investment prospects, especially that Riyadh is planning to develop its economy by 2030 and is turning towards new non-energy sectors.

Tunisian Investment and International Cooperation Minister Mohamed Fadhel Abdelkefi also stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia, saying it is still below expectations.

Qasabi, who is leading a Saudi government delegation of 53 businessmen, is taking part in the works of the forum held Thursday on the sidelines of the 9th session of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Commission, attended by 200 officials and businessmen.

During the forum, the Saudi delegation presented the Saudi 2030 vision to Tunisian investors and businessmen who will examine the strategic dimension of investment between both countries.

Tunisia and Saudi Arabia are expected to sign several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding at the closing of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Commission’s works on Friday.

The signing of these agreements would be the culmination of several months of joint work between the two countries, initiated since the Tunisia 2020 Conference which was attended by a large Saudi delegation.
