London- International and Arab human rights organizations requested that the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva hold a special session on Iran. The session is meant to delve into Iran’s violations against human rights and its terror-sponsoring approach in Arab countries.

Organizations, in their letter sent to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), stated that they agree on and support convening a special session at the regular 31st meeting this year dedicated to discuss “Iran the world capital for terrorism”. The letter sent also held the organizations’ accusation of Iran endorsing terrorism and chaos in the world.

As for Tehran, the election’s committee announced the first results on the Assembly of Experts and parliamentary elections. According to results, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani won over the lead for the capital’s representation for the Assembly of Experts. The list also subjoins the two candidates close to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Parliamentary elections, according to the Iran-based TASNIM News Agency, 62 percent of winners belong to the fundamentalist party in Iran facing a 24 percent going to the reformist.

Meanwhile, everybody’s attention was directed to the governmental speech covering the Iranian elections on Friday, initial results viewed a vast contradiction with the percentage of figures of participating voters and the number of votes received by the election winners. Moreover, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC and Khamenei-affiliated media announced results that differed from the governmental media belonging to the Rouhani administration.

Mystery hovered around the entire electoral process and statistical reaping. Results contradicted with the news on Iranian websites regarding the participation of Mehdi Karroubi, chairman of the National Trust Party, and Former Prime Minister of Iran Mir-Hossein Mousavi. Both Mousavi and his wife have been held in custody since 2009. The Iran Ministry of Interior had claimed Karroubi participating at the elections; however, his son denied the proclamations. Authorities have also barred Mousavi and his wife from voting, yet governmental media stated that Mousavi voted.
