The Libyan politician, Ahmed Gaddaf Al Dam, said that extremists in Libya have stolen large amounts of deadly sarin gas, which they found in warehouses in southern Libya and smuggled to northern cities, including Tripoli.

He added that the outlawed gas was first used in 2014, yet some Western countries turned a blind eye.

said in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat that Western fears of the expansion of the extremists and extremism in Libya led to international pressure calling for urgent agreement on the formation of the Government of National Accord to legislate foreign intervention.
He considered the meetings held in Rome and Skhirat as worthless, and insisted on the necessity of finding a solution from the Libyan parties to save what is left of Libya.
