Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques receives message from King of Jordan containing an invitation to attend Arab Summit Conference in Jordan (SPA)


Riyadh – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz received an invitation from King Abdullah II of the Kingdom of Jordan to attend the upcoming Arab Summit Conference in Jordan.

Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Nasser Judeh delivered the message to King Salman during an audience at Al-Yamamah Palace on Monday.

Meanwhile, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir stressed the deep and consolidated relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

He noted that bilateral cooperation covered both security and political fields, starting with the fight against terrorism to reach political coordination on the peace process in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

Jubeir’s remarks came during a joint press conference held on Monday with Judeh.

The Saudi minister stressed that the two countries were seeking to strengthen bilateral coordination, valuing the progress achieved by the joint coordination council in this regard.

He added that he was looking forward to the success of the Arab Summit, which will be held in Jordan next March.

For his part, the Jordanian minister stressed the importance of fraternal relations binding the two countries and peoples and highlighted the keenness of Jordanian King Abdullah II to sustain, cement and expand this relationship at all levels.

Judeh also lauded the progress achieved by the joint coordination council. He also expressed high hopes on the success of the upcoming Arab Summit.

He said Saudi Arabia has voiced support for Jordan in its fight against terrorism, citing the recent Al-Kark terror incidents.

He stressed the long history of cooperation between the two countries in fighting terrorism and eradicating extremism.
